Rotary Steerable Drilling technology is one of the most advanced drilling technology being developed by many countries throughout the world. It has many advantages such as, improving drilling speed, reducing wellbore tortuosity, operational risk, providing high quantity trajectory and reducing drilling cost. In the rotary steering drilling process, for drilling to the target point accurately, we must keep abreast with the deviation angle and azimuth changes in well bore in order to monitor and control the drilling trajectory so that drilling along the pre-set trajectory, which need high precision hole trajectory measurement.The dissertation first introduces the principle of measurement and figure out the corresponding formula base on the principle of inertial navigation, and point out the primary analyze of error and the possible solution; then from the underground closed-loop control requirements, the proposed drill point and the calculation method is given a mathematical model based on the mechanical properties of the rotary steerable drilling system. Finally, the dissertation designs the corresponding circuit and software, which are both based on MSP430F169 and nIMU (Nano Inertial Measurement Unit).A conclusion is made finally,affirming theoretical analysis and design of the measurement unit of the rotary steerable drilling system.
