At present, China's coal mine safety situation is very serious. Coal mine production safety accidents will threaten the lives of miners, and cause the loss of resources and property. Safety monitoring is not only the way to achieve mine production safety measures to prevent major accidents, but also an important technical measures to modern mine management. Therefore Coal Mine Safety Monitoring System in coal mining enterprises has been widely used and plays an important role.This topic is from Beijing Jiaotong University project "Coal Mine Monitoring and Management Information System". This coal mine monitoring and control system design is an important part of the project. Its background is ARM-based embedded system design technology, with the present state of research at home and abroad, to design a coal mine monitoring and control system of using LM3S8962 processor.First, the article describes the mine monitoring system involved in related technologies:Embedded processors, embedded operating systems, and industrial Ethernet technology. By analyzing the existing strengths and weaknesses of Coal Mine Monitoring System, it proposed the design of the mine safety monitoring system based on TCP/IP protocol. The program used high-speed 32-bit ARM microcontroller, and transplanted multitasking embedded operating system, to ensure system compatibility and real-time.Secondly, it designed the sub-station of the system hardware and software. By having selected 32-bit processor LM3S8962 based on Cortex-M3 architecture as a sub-station main control chip, taken Multi-task operating system RT-Thread as a development platform, used TCP/IP protocol as the communication protocol, it built up a network of underground sub-station communication system. PC control software with VC ++ programming, can receive analog and digital data from sub-station and control the circuit breaker to achieve the open or cut off the power of electrical equipment.Simulation results show that the design of the sub-station has basically achieved the functions of data collection, relay controlling, and ground center station and sub-station communication. Based embedded TCP/IP protocol stack for network communications, it can provide the system with good compatibility, to help eliminate the different monitoring and control platform for the agreement between the barriers. It also has high reference value on research and development more advanced coal mine monitoring system in the future.
