The technology of numerical control plays an important role in today'smanufacture system. Nowadays, numerical control technology is developing towardshigh speed, high precision, high flexibility and internet supporting. And thedevelopment of micro-electronics technology leads to the development of newgeneration CNC system. In this thesis, we present a kind of CNC system, which isbased on 32-bit microcontroller MC68F375 and real-time operation system(RTOS)—VxWorks.First of all, the thesis investigates the history, the present condition and the trendof CNC system's development in details. After that we analyses the problems ofnowadays CNC system. According to these problems, we bring forward the project ofdesigning a kind of embedded CNC system which is based on the MC68F375 andVxWorks, and then we discuss the advantages of this kind CNC system.Secondly, the thesis give a general introduce introduction of MC68F375'scharacters, structure and advantages. After that the thesis focuses on the hardwaredesign of the embedded CNC system which is based on the MC68F375 and CPLD.We divide the complex system into several subsystems according to their functionsand the way of modularization designing. Then we introduce each of the subsystem'sdesigning in detail, such as the module of power supply, the module of memory, themodule of the motor control, the module of communication, the module of interactive,module of data acquisition and etc.Thirdly, the thesis focuses on the software design of the embedded CNC system.According to the CNC system's character, we modularize the functions of the system,and built the architecture of the software based on the real time kernel—VxWorks,whose mainly function is the CNC system's multitask managing and scheduling.Furthermore, we present how we designed CNC system's software based onVxWorks in detail.Fourthly, for improving the reliability and the stability, the thesis introduces theEMC design of this CNC system, and analyzed the source of electromagneticinterference in industry situation. Then the focus is made on the design of board levelelectromagnetic compatibility.Finally, the thesis makes a conclusion of the research on the embedded CNCsystem and it also present the prospect of the embedded CNC system at the end of thepaper.
