This paper is in connection with cooling process of injection molding with an insert, has established mathmatical model of cooling analysis which based on boundary element analysis theory. On this basis, has completed cooling analysis software. But boundry element eqution is only applicable to single material domain. So first, respectively establish the cooling analysis mathematical model of mold and insert. Than do heat transfer analysis on the surface which the insert is in contact with the mold. Finally incorperate the boundry element eqution of insert into the boundry element eqution of mold, and obtain the coupling integration analysis model, thus avoiding coupling calculation of two boundry element eqution, effectively improving computational efficiency and accuracy.Through the analysis of the calculation of the example, and the cooling process of injection molding without the insert, this paper verifies the feasibility of the algorithm and reveals how the insert affects the mold temperature. The four major works are as follow:1.Briefly introduce:the factors affecting mold cooling; how mold temperature influence injection molding; the structure of injection molding with inserts;heat transfer inside the mold; variation of temperature inside the mold; the application of BEM in the cooling process of injection molding.2.Build boundary integral equation in the mold domain, build boundary integral equation on the insert surface.Do heat transfer analysis on the surface which the insert is in contact with the mold, than obtain the final boundary integral equation. Amend the boundary integral equation on the mold cavity surface. Discrete the model, obtain a linear matrix equation on mold temperature.Calculate the constant term of that matrix.3.Use relaxation iteration to solve that equation. Because there are so many unknown numbers during the solving process, we use Visual C++6.0 to write the algorithm program for solving that matrix. Apply the program in the software Z-MOLD.4.Use that model to analyze the mold temperature distribution of a flat plastic part and a space plane window. Use Z-MOLD to show the mold temperature distribution form.Observe the result, to study the distribution law and to verify the feasibility of the algorithm.
