Plastic products, produced by molding, has become an indispensible andimportant element in our daily life, which appear in every corner around us, such asthe field of aviation and aerospace, household appliances, electronic equipment andautomotive trim and exteriors. Most of the plastic products are pure plastic, asmechanical products or need to reduce the volume of products with metal insert. Andinjection molding has long been a major approach in plastic molding and processing.When manufacturing products with metal insert, various annoying defects occur inpractical application such as silver wire, flow mark, filling insufficiency, weld markand warping deformation as the raw material differs.These defects not only affect thequality of the product’s external and influence the intrinsic properties of the products.In order to solve these problems, the application of advanced highlights non-markinjection molding technology for injection molding. Highlights non-mark injectiontechnology can improve the ability to insert the flow of the melt in the mold cavity, soas to reduce the occurrence of these problems.As a newly-invented technology, Rapidheat cycle molding (RHCM) or highlights non-mark injection molding technology, ison the rise in recent years. Highlights non-mark molding technology is advanced in theuse of rapid heating and rapid cooling in processing. Before injecting melt, moldtemperature controller will adjust temperature upward in mould cavity to meet melt’srequirement. And pour into cooling water into the mould when the cavity is full of meltto pressurize. Finally, a satisfactory workpiece is produced. Highlights non-markinjection molding can avoid many problems, such as insufficient filling, inferiorwelding mark, flow mark and hysteresis. Under the premise of sprayless,environmental friendly and green protetion, we can form a high gloss appearance ofproducts.Based on the fluid dynamics and rheology theory, this article employs the latestdevelopment of mold flow solver and fluid dynamics software. Mold temperature control system was optimized and studied with insert RHCM injection moldingcharacteristics of plastic parts. RHCM injection molding process parameters wasoptimized. Finally, according to the result of study, products have finished with insertplastic modeling RHCM injection mold.This paper unfolds its study in the following sequence with the example of mobilephone shell with metal insert.By applying CFX, we will get a well distrubition of heating pipe in mold cavity.In the meatime, heating period is shorten, the cycle of product molding is turncatedand production efficiency is enhanced and quality of products is sastifactory.Parameters such as flow rate of heating media, heating temperature, and heating timeis optimized. We can achieve a reasonable parameter of mold heater and a balancedmould temperature field, which in all provide a ideal condition for mold injection.We can achieve preferable plan of pouring gates through Moldflow which is amold flow analysis software that offers optimized number and layout of pouring gates.Through the newly increased module of rapid temperature change in Moldflow,we can solve the problem of temperature. Apply orthogonal experiment to get theoptimum combination which provides minimum warping deformation in the phoneshell as: A1B1C1D1E1F2. The level of technological parameters which affect warpingdeformation are as follows: the holding pressure (90.240%)> cooling time (3.1260%)> melt temperature (2.772%)> the holding time (1.8161%)> hot water temperature(1.4341%)> injection time (0.6132%).Finally, designers can get a proposed plan according to UG of mold’s coreelectrode according to the optimization of the structure and process design of mouldstructure.
