To expend the application fields of polymer, they need to be modified through graft copolymerization. There are many traditional ways of graft copolymerization, like melting method, solution method, suspension method and so on. The way used in this project is a new-type solvothermal method. Solvothermal method is a burgeoning method for graft copolymerization in recent years with reaction temperature above the solvent boiling point and inclosed reaction system.It have some advantages, like less solvent dosage and environmental pollution, higher grafting degree and so on.First,AS-g-MAH, ABS-g-MAH and SBS-g-MAH was prepared through solvothermal process. Infrared (IR) spectra confirmed that maleic anhydride was successfully grafted onto the polymer. The influences, such as initiator concentration, MAH concentration, reaction temperature and time, reactant concentration, and comonomer on the grafting copolymerization were also studied. In addition,the problem of gel in the process of preparing SBS-g-MAH was also studied.Then add graft copolymer preparing previously as compatilizer to PC/ABS alloy. Discuss the influences of different compatilizer and compatilizer dosage on the tensile strength and impact strength of PC/ABS alloy. It finds that compatilizers above-mentioned have a good compatibilization and AS-g-MAH is optimum.
