Stamping is a highly efficient production method. It accounts for a large proportion in the actual production. Therefore, it is meaningful to research on servo press and the stamping process. With the application of low speed high torque AC servo motors, hydraulic force amplifier and toggle mechanism, what's more, benefiting from the rapid development of power electronics and computer control technology, servo press with high intelligent and flexibility has come into being. Servo presses for large-scale sheet metal stamping and drawing process, for precision forging and multi-position servo press and so on are developing rapidly. This paper studies the characteristics of stamping process curves, optimizes the stamping process curves using NURBS curve, and simulate for typical patterns of stamping process. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. Optimized stamping process curves based on NURBS curve, studied the influence of weights on process curves, and transferred the displacement and speed requirements of stamping curves to weights constraint inequality systems. Built an appropriate objective function, and solved it within the weights constraint, and made out the optimal process curve.2. Summarized performance requirements of process curves in different stamping models and established process curves to meet the requirements. Kinematic analysis and inverse kinematic analysis were made according to the structure of transmission chain. To meet the requirements of multi-functional stamping, and to facilitate user-define parameters at the same time, a typical stamping performance software tool based on MATLAB has been developed. 3. A virtual prototype has been built based on ADAMS and use the virtual prototype technology to make simulation of stamping process curves. The input data of drive motion are reversed from output curve, and the output performance curve has been obtained from simulation.
