Ionic liqiuds, which are considered suitable as plasticizers , can plasticized polymer materials, because its large liqiud temperature range, wide solution area, no significant vapor pressure, good stability, large electrochemical windows. The focus of this work is ionic liqiuds plasticized PVC paste resin. This work prepared some ionic liqiuds, and their corresponding PVC paste resin plasticized film. We researched plastic properties on these types of ionic liquids on plasticized PVC paste resin film, concluded glass transition temperatures, elastic modulus, elongation at break, tensile strength, thermal stability, UV stability and migration. And then the best plastic properties of ionic liqiuds was selected as the main plasticizer of production of car stickers. We took this ionic liqiud as main plasticizers , and added other assistants to make car stickers production by no substrate Scratch method, and obtained some preliminary results:(1) Five imidazolium-based ionic liquids([bmim]PF6, [hmim]PF6, [omim]PF6, [C14mim]Br and [C16mim] Br) were synthesized by water bath and microwave method. Their structures were tested by IR, NMR, and elemental analysis methods.(2) The plasticized properties of these five imidazolium ionic liquids and [Bupy]PF6 plasticized PVC paste resin flim were tested, the main results include:A: Room temperature ionic liquid plasticizing can reduce Tg of PVC paste resin, but DSC cannot measure material's Tg accurately for the three higher melting temperature ionic liquid, because they had significant melting peak, and covered Tg peak.B: The mechanical properties of these six ionic liqiuds plasticized PVC paste resin film were studied. The results showed that the tensile strength and elastic moduli dropped with the increasing of ionic liqiuds dosages,; and their elongation at break were improved obviously; With the greater molecular weight and the longer the side chain of imidazolium ionic liquid, the elastic modulus of plasticized PVC paste resin film had more decreasing. In the case of the same anion, pyridine ionic liquids had more decreasing; For tensile strength, when the content of plasticizer was 20%, the tensile strength of the decreased rate of the six kinds of PVC paste resin film was insignificant. But when the plasticizer concentration was 40%, the short-chain imidazolium and pyridine ionic liquids had more decreasing. Their elongation at break was insignificant, pyridine plastic was slightly better than imidazoliums'.C: The thermal stability properties of these six ionic liqiuds plasticized PVC paste resin film were studied. The results showed that [bmim]PF6, [hmim]PF6, [omim]PF6 plasticized PVC paste resin film had good thermal stability, the second was [bupy]PF6, [C14mim]Br and [C16mim] Br were poor. We can concluded that the thermal stability of plasticized PVC paste resin films was relevant with ionic liquids'.D: After irrdiation by 254nm UV, PVC paste resin plasticized film had no weight loss and exudation phenomenon, but the elongation at break improved slightly.E: [bmim]PF6,[hmim]PF6,[C14mim]Br can migrate to solid phase (plastic) and liquid phase(H2O solution), and the amount increased with increasing of the content of ionic liqiuds. The result showed that the operating conditions such as temperature and macerating time had a great accelerated effect on it. There was smaller migration in the neutral conditions, however , the migrations were volume in acidic and alkaline conditions. Compared with in the water enviroment, the migration was reduced evidenced in the simulated solvent of low-alcohol. The comparision of migration is : [bmim]PF6﹤[hmim]PF6﹤[C14mim]Br。(3) We took this ionic liqiud as main plasticizers , and added other assistants to make car stickers production by no substrate Scratch method, and obtained some preliminary results: the best plasticized effect was [bmim]PF6 was 80 shares,the plasticized time was 1h, and plasticized temperature was 160℃. The main properties of [bmim]PF6 and dioctyl phthalate plasticized PVC paste resin film by using this preparate metod were compared, they had similar mechanical properties, however, the former is better than latter for UV stability and migration.
