The 400℃ isothermal section of the phase diagram of Ag-Dy-Sb ternary system has been investigated by X-ray powder diffracion, DTA,optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy he phase diagram consists of 12 single-phase regions,23 two-phase regions and 12 three-phase regions. The 12 single-phase regions are α(Ag),β(Sb),χ(Dy),δ(Ag51Dyl4,ε(Ag2ZDy),φ(AgDy),γ(Ag3Sb), η(Ag1-xSbx),ι(Dy5Sb3),ψ(DySb),λ(Ag4Dy5Sb),μ(AgDySb2)。 The 23 two-phase regions areα+δ,δ+φ,ε+φ,φ+χ,α+γ,α+ψ,γ+η,η+ β,β+ψ,ι+ψ,ι+χ,γ+ψ,ψ+η,μ+η,μ+β,μ+ψ, δ+ψ,ψ+ε,ψ+λ,λ+ε,λ+φ,λ+χ,λ+ι。 The 12 three-phase regions are: α+δ+ψ,α+ψ+γ,ψ+ε+δ,ψ+η+μ,γ+η+ψ, μ+η+β+μ+ψ,β+λ+ψ,φ+χ+λ,χ+ι+λ,λ+ι+ψ,λ+ε+φ。 The exlstence of 7 binary compounds (Ag51Dy14,Ag2Dy, AgDy, Ag3Sb,Ag1-xSbx,Dy5Sb3,Dysb,)has been confirmed and two new ternary compound(Ag4Dy5Sb and AgDySb2)has been found in this paper. The crystal structure of AgDySb2 has been deterind from X- ray power diffraction data using Rietveld method.It crystallizes in the tetragonal,space group P4/nmm with a=4.2656(2)А,c=10.455(6)А, and the CuLsSb2 structure type.The crystal structure of Ag4Dy5Sb Will be determined later....
