In this paper the desorption of the loaded SO2 activated carbon by microwave radiation was studied. After adsorption, activated carbon should be regenerated and reused, and SO2 should be also recycled to make H2S04. The aim of the study is to get high concentration SO2, which could be a qualified raw material for the industry of H2S04 production. Meanwhile, the study also provided a valid approach for recycling and reclaiming low concentration SO2. In experiments, the influence on operating circs and conditions to desorption and 502 concentration in outlet was studied. The operation conditions such as the affection of microwave power, gas loaded quantum, activated carbon quantum, regeneration time, regeneration times of activated carbon on the produce rate of the adsorption agent is explored. The optimal operating conditions were got. The results show that, after the desorpting, about 98% produce rate of SQ2 can be obtained, the SO2 concentration of the regeneration gas was high to 96%. Comparing with the traditional method, this method has many advantages: rapid velocity of desorption, the high efficiency of regeneration, cleanness, economic.
