In industry, insulation material in furnace usually breaks off after it is used for a period of time, resulting in heat leakage seriously. Infra-red non-destruction technology has been widely applied in disfigurement inspecting of furnace liner. The technology requires high accuracy of thermal conductivity of insulation material and disfigurement data of furnace liner. But actual working conditions of a furnace are very complicated and various kinds of insulation materials have been on market recently, more data of infra-red non-destruction technology should be carried out .This paper mainly investigates on thermal conductivity of insulation material K.T ?PTC and the characteristics of typical disfigurements on furnace liner by experiments.1. We have done experiment to measure the thermal conductivity of insulation material KT-TC, and found out the relation between thermal conductivity and temperature.2. Experimental research for surface temperature distributing with different kinds of disfigurement has been carried. A lot of photos were taken, and can be used as data of infra-red non-destruction technology.3. In practical industrial production, radiant dope is usually used to improve thermal efficiency. Some useful data for radiant dope has also been obtained in this thesis.
