With the development of science and technology and the acceleration of industrialization, China has been paying increasingly more attention to the insulation capacity of high-temperature service, with a special focus on sustainable development and production safety. In the meantime, thermal insulation material has also evolved form traditional fiber materials with low thermal conductivity coefficient to nano materials. Nano composites, with its extremely low coefficient of thermal conductivity, has attracted much attention. Likewise, the combination of nanocomposites and traditional fiber materials is now regarded as a promising insulation ways. This method not only promotes the performance of thermal insulation material while reducing the productive costs, making its way to the surface of the steam turbine cylinder and steam pipe in various major power plants, but also represents one of the main directions in which thermal insulation material could be further developed.This essay meaning discuss the study of heat transfer characteristics of nano composite thermal insulation material. First of all, based on the actual operation condition and the national standard, the heat transfer experiment platform was designed following the pipe insulation apparatus. The author obtained the material's coefficient of thermal conductivity, thermal resistance, heat flow with test bench and other equipment, searched for the best composition and thickness by examining the heat transfer property of different options. Upon the production of experimental statistics, the other conducted finite element analysis on the heat transfer process of the material in ANASYS workbench. The simulation results compared with the experimental results to refine the simulation model, so that the simulation result has more value. Finally,the author established the model of heat transfer in the nanocomposites through 3d max,which makes the heat transfer processing of nanomaterial more intuitive.
