Study On Ecological Environment Construction And Eco-Agriculture In Yumenchuan Basin

Ecological environment is an essential condition for human life and the base of social and economic development. The strategies of China's social development are to protect and construct the ecological environment, to shift traditional development pattern and obtain a higher speed of economic development, with the lower cost of resources and environment. The unification of economic benefits, social benefits and environmental benefits is the basic course for China to realize the sustainable development of social economy.Yumenchuan watershed in Tongchuan city, located on the loess Plateau, is a relative poor area in the development of social economy. Its ecological environment and the situation of soil and water losses become worse and worse. How to realize the harmonized development of society, economy and environment is a subject which has both theoretic and practical significance. Based on the investigation of basic conditions in yumenchuan basin, the factors, which confine the sustainable development of the basin, are identified and analyzed in this paper. It is addressed that the goal of ecological construction can be accomplished, only when great attention has been paid to the organiccombination of economic benefit and ecological environment benefit, the mobilization of positivity and initiative attending of local people, and the construction of internal sustaining mechanism. Under the guidance of above thoughts, the ecological construction and eco-agriculture in Yumenchuan basin are studied. Some important construction fields or projects of environment and eco-agriculture within the basin are planned in detail. The economical and environmental benefits of the ecological construction in the basin are estimated quantitatively. Finally, the guarantee measures for the ecological construction in the basin are proposed. These achievements not only have the reference significance in theory, but also can be put into operation in practice.During the whole process of this study, the natural and economic laws are followed all the time. Ecological construction is first goal, bu the economic development is stressed at the same time. The objective is to establish the Yumenchuan basin as a demonstrated watershed, and to advance the improvement of ecological environment and the sustainable development of social economy.
