Development Of Oil Weathering System

Oil spill weathering model can be used in predicting the change tendency of constitutes, characters and states of the weathering oil as well as its final fate. Further more, better understanding of the oil spill weathering model is helpful in the prediction of oil spill drifting track, and also useful in helping people make decision scientifically to reduce ocean environment damage maximally and evaluate the ocean environment damage efficiently. Thus, the oil spill weathering model is the technical crux in building a oil spill emergency response expert system, and draws much attention of the researchers.In this work, by across analyzing the characteristics of the oil spill weathering process, summarizing up to minute fruit in the oil weathering process research field, the SINTEF oil weathering model and ADIOS oil weathering model are studied in a big way.Based on the above research results, a CAD software, which can be used in the simulation and optimum prediction of the oil spill weathering process, has been developed by using many oil weathering models as reference, This software can be used in predicting and simulating oil weathering for an out-bursting accident happening in the ocean, and also can be used in decision-making of emergence response for an oil out-bursting accident.The innovation of this software is rest with:Firstly, The CAD software is on the basis of two oil'weathering models. At first, user may input oil spilled time, locus, sea condition, status of spilled oil, and so on. Then, according to needs, user may select appropriate oil weathering model. After computing, the software can provide constitutes, characters and states of the weathering oil.Secondly, A comparison can be made between the results of two models.For special oil, the software can educe the better model.Finally, Combining the model with a cleanup decision-making software, result from the oil weathering simulation module can be transmitted into cleanup decision-making module directly. Based on viscidity of residue, cleanup decision-making model can decide measures and tools of the cleanup.From the above study, it can be seen that the future direction of the research on the oil weathering system is the research of weathering mechanism. For the prediction of weathering, the characteristics of the behavior of each process and the whole weathering need considerate simultaneously.
