Research And Development Based On Web GIS Of Tongchuan Region Environmental Management Information System

This paper dissertates the necessity and feasibility for researching and developing the Tongchuan Region Environmental Management Information System (TREMIS), which bases on the study of analyzing the present condition of environment quality in Tongchuan Region and combines with the strategic thought of developing Tongchuan into a central city in Weibei Region and the developing trends in EMIS.This paper presents the general object, major function, module and structure and technical level of this system in the whole firstly, then constructs the general frame for developing the system. Technology analysis on Web GIS is provided in this paper, which emphasizes its applying aspect in environment management. Then this paper starts with system analysis, which is the core phase of structural development for MIS, completes the design of the attribute database with the method of data flow analysis, data entity-relation analysis and data dictionary analysis, finishes the design of spatial database in the way of layering analysis according to the feature of spatial data and discusses the problems in the realization of three-layer networks system combining with the development of computer mode.Finally this paper finishes the practical application of Web GIS, which is a key technology in TREMIS. By gaining the environment geographic information of Tongchuan region with GeoBeans, designing and developing the browser interface based on Web, realizing the basic map operation, query and analysis and the extended function, completing the visual operation and analysis on Tongchuan region environment geographic information, this paper gives prominence to the priority of utilizing Web GIS in environment information management and finishes successful exploring in the field of applying of Web GIS in environmental management.
