Through a thorough investigation on the present situation of mine safety research,component-based software development in ventilation calculation is brought forward and is realized according to mine actuality and safety requirement. Software components are easy to reuse and to update,and to display through Internet,thus effectively promote the software application,achievement accumulation and software update. By using the component technology from software component to component software,a series of software components of ventilation calculation are developed and integrated into the management software system of safety supervision. A home page system of ventilation calculation is set up on the bases of ventilation software components (home page:ventcc.home.chinaren.com). The test of safety supervision software system shows a satisfactory performance on a PC as well as on Internet.Component-based ventilation calculation software technology shows a significant advantage over other software technology in use. It improves reusability,expandability and efficiency of software development greatly,thus cut the cost in software maintenance and update. The online calculation of mine ventilation through Internet is realized. The frame of visual display of ventilation calculation is put forward.The application of component technology to safety problem solving and online ventilation calculation is a new break-through. It aims at practical application based on Internet technology. The reusable and expandable components of ventilation calculation developed in the process make it possible for mine safety management to adopt a new working model in the network,which is a valuable contribution in the improvement of safety management efficiency.
