Study On Mechanism And Basic Application Of Vibration Tapping

Vibration tapping, as a new technology process, has some important effect and a good applied foreground in the machining of small diameter thread, especially for difficult-to-machine material. This paper mainly studies the mechanism of the low frequency vibration tapping. In addition, this research has some groping study on improved design and redesigned for former vibration tapping equipment (applied patent No. 02223011.6). In this paper the fundamental investigations are carried out:1. Based on vibration engineering theory, this paper computes the inhere frequency of taper and establish the differential equation of twist vibration of the taper. This paper expounds the influence of the ratio clean cutting time (Tc) to period (T) and the ratio inhere frequency (wn) to tap's vibration frequency (w) to tap's dynamic angle displacement, which has some science values to enrich and develop vibration tapping machining theory.2. Based dislocation and elasticity-plasticity theory, this paper studies the forming and changing rule of the chip in vibration tapping processing and bring forward a new viewpoint that vibration wave has some especial effect on vibration tapping. This research has some theoretical sense to expound systemically forming mechanism of chip in vibration tapping and to enrich metal machining theory.3. Based on some analyses to former vibration tapping equipment, this research improves and redesign vibration-tapping machine. The input &output interface circuit is redesigned .The new control and data collecting system can run on WINDOWS system. The data of tapping toque can be input into EXCEL software system to deal with. This new system realize showing of the data on line so it is useful to monitor the condition of the tapping. This work has some practical value to improve performance of the former vibration equipment and to enlarge its applying fields.This research enriches and develops vibration tapping machining theory that has some academic values. The improvement design and redesigned research will bring some good economic and society merits.
