28 new macroporous resins ,which have larger physical surface area and some alkalescent ion-exchanged groups, have been prepared in this paper. Some physico-chemical properties of these resins are tested and the best resin WXA-22 is got from 28 resins. Research on the dynamic and static adsorption of the new resin WXA-22 to baicalin has been done. The results show, the static equilibrium adsorption capacity for the baicalin solution which concentration was 1750mg/L was 190.2mg/(g dry resin). In the dynamic adsorption, the working adsorption capacity was 69.1mg/ml and the adsorption efficiency was 93.1%. It's easy to elute the WXA-22 resin adsorbing of baicalin ,and the elution efficiency can be up to 94.9%. When using WXA-22resin to extract baicalin ,the extracting efficiency and degree of purity of baicalin is higher than traditional methods. D241 resin can also be used to extract baicalin but the extracting efficiency of WXA-22 resin is higher than D241. All results show us, using WXA-22 to extract baicalin from Radix Scutellariae is effective and has broad prospects.
