As one typicial kind of procedure in mechanical process, belt-grinding has been used extensively both domestically and abroad. So far, application of belt-grinding is popularized to process preciselly and plays a cratic role in quantity of final products. Grinding technique such as the super precision, high efficiency and intelligent automation are main developing trends. However, there is an obstact to gather patameters while grinding.Although belt-grinding is taken on effect by multi-varable factors, including grinding burn, mini-cracks, abrasive residual stresses, and vibration etc, grinding force and temperature are regarded as keys to design grinders and optimize the structure. Being two important parameters, grinding force and temperature have become a means of monitoring and judgement status of grinding. At present, latest theory and models based on grinding force and temperature are convinient to study grinding, but they are still improving in further.During grinding the workpiece, most depleted energy turns into quantity of heat. In the area of grinding, the heat in the form of heat exchange moves into the workpiece, belt, coolant, grinding scrap and so on. While belt-grinding is said to be of cool, after belt frayed or grinding material with higher friction coefficient and less heat transmittal (such as titanium), a large number of heat in the workpiece accumulated to a high level, it is possible to happen to grinding burn and crackle. Grinding force is a main parameter to represent status of grinding. It does not only affect grinding process, but also leads to energy exhausted, grinding heat and vibration. Force is close to grinding efficiency, processing quality and precision. In general, grinding temperature and force are critic ingredients to belt grinding. So it is important to gather two parameters in real time to analyze status of system. On the basis of former performance, after studied in detail through the analysis of grinding force and temperature about principle and mode in the process of grinding, Owing to defect of measurement in the use of thermocouple sheet-metal and different moment wrest, author has designed a new kind of system to gather two parameters in real time in the paper. Besides, feasible of the system in practice has been discussed.The system mentioned above, is comprised of hardware and software. Structure of hardware is involved with such components as sensors, high-speed data acquisitionsystem, personal computer. General tasks of which is to change singles from grinding force and temperature into ones that are able to be done by micro-computer. In the design of system, some novel methods and princples are advanced, expected progess according to tradintional system.The aim in the paper is to develop the system with low price, high-speed, acurrity, practised.
