1 Preparation of crude medicinal extractionsObjective: To prepare crude medicinal extractions for the preparation of buccal tabletMethod: The ethanol refluxing method is used to extract crude chlorogenic acid (CHA) in Flos Lonicerae. The traditional -decocting method is used to extract crude1 glycyrrhizic acid (GA) in Glycyrrhiza Uralensis Fisch. Result and conclusion: The average extraction rates are 21.0% and 19.5% respectively in the extractions of Flos Lonicerae and Glycyrrhiza Uralensis Fisch .The average extraction rates are 4.11% and 2.74% respectively in CHA and GA .2 Preparation of buccal tabletObjective: To investigate the suitable preparing process ..for buccal tablet.Method: moist granulation processResult and conclusion: All the customary tests meetChinese pharmacopoeia (edition 2000) regulations.3. Preliminary Studies on quality standard of buccal tabletObjective: To establish the method of identification, test, and content determination for buccal tablet. Method: The thin layer chromatography (TLC) and reverse-phrase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) methods are established for analysis of buccal tablets. Result and conclusion: The methods are simple and the results are reliable. Both of the methods have good repeatability , sensitivity and specificity. All the experimental results meet Chinese pharmacopoeia (edition 2000) regulations.
