Hydrogen peroxide is known as the cleanest product, and is widely used in papermaking, textile, chemical synthesize and environment protection, ect. With the development of these Industries, the market demand for hydrogen peroxide is booming. The main process for industrial production of hydrogen peroxide is to subject anthraquinone to cyclic reduction and oxidation. Pd/γ-Al2O3 catalyst is used in hydrogenation. In this dissertation, Pd/γ-Al2O3 catalyst and different methods of preparation are studies. In this paper, some preliminary experiments are done to find out the favorable process condition for anthraquinone hydrogenation. We conclude that the resistance of conduct material and outer diffusion could be decreased because favorable H2 flow velocity could be available to make the work solution be in a good mixed flow state, and improve the contact among three phases in the reaction system. The Pd-B loaded amorphous alloys are prepared by the induction-chemical deposition method. It is found that Pd-B amorphous alloys shows high activity and very short service lie. Inferior stabilization is a serious shortcoming for amorphous alloys. A series of new preparation methods are also been attempted. It is found that the catalyst reduced by KBH4 shows high activity and long service life. Analysis such as XPS, SEM, TPR and BET are carried out. This paper also studies qualities of crystalline catalyst, amorphous alloys catalyst and catalyst reduced by KBH4 after regeneration. It is found the three catalysts show similar qualities to formers. We find that the most important factor of deactivation for amorphous alloys is losing of Pd. We also conclude that B give some electrons to Pd, which results in good ability of H2 adsorption. Meanwhile, the catalyst has been baked in stove in temperature 600oC after deposition and has found the structure of crystalline. In this paper, the service life of Pd-B amorphous alloys is studies, and the catalyst reduced by KBH4 are prepared for the first time. During a series of analysis, we conclude that the catalyst has good qualities because of electrons from B and structure of crystalline, which will have a directing meaning to actual industry.
