In Taiyuan urban region, there are 177 species of seed plants, belonging to 65 families and 124 genera in the 48 streets investigated. The flora analysis of the geographical elements showed: 1) Remarkably predominant genera of south temperate Asia folly indicate then-temperate characteristic. At the same time, the seed plants scatter equably in most of the families. Big families don't take dominant position in Taiyuan urban flora. The flora are influenced by the human being's planting activities during its occurring, therefore, the planted seed plant composition of the flora take advantage over the other seed plant one and they have important meaning in urban street green.TWINSPAN and DCA were combined in analyzing the ecological relationships between vegetation and environments of Taiyuan urban zone, we get 8 types from 48 street examples as TWINSPAN analysis results which is validated by the results of DCA. The changes of the length and the width of streets are reflected by the first axis of the two-dimensional ordination diagram of DCA and the changes of the human disturbance and habitat types by the other one.Using diversity indices, the analysis shows mat human disturbances and habitat types areinfluential factors for the street grassland type diversity. The order of street grassland typediversity indices from higher to lower is: lawn street type >footway tree street type > pavement grassland street type > tree(planted in pavement and mid-street border) street type> tree in mid-street border street type > color grassland in street pavement street type color grassland(planted in pavement and mid-street border) street type > lawn in mid-street border street type..TWINSPAN , DCA and diversity indices can be used in street grassland type analysisand the results accord with the fact.
