Based on the actual conditions of Huolinhe South open-pit mine and to improve the economic benefit of the mine and its technique economy after the research problem of applying semi-continuous mining technology to part of the stripped substance at Huolinhe South open-pit mine.The task emphasizes the reaching-output year(2008) after the reconstruction and extension of Huolinhe South open-pit mine as typical mine engineering state and establishes the South open-pit mine. And based on this, the mining technique utilizing computer model. The study presupposes the utilization of advantages of various technique into full play and the necessity and technical feasibility of the application of semi-continuous technology at Huolinhe South open-pit mine.This paper further studies the comparision problem of applying semi-continuous technique for partial stripped substances and single-shovel-truck mining technique.The study result shows that semi-continuous technique is feasible in production and technology at Huolinhe mining area and has certain application scope. And its economic benefit is superior to single-shovel-truck technique.
