This paper mainly discusses a chromatics equation which is very important in the conversion from color space to printing ink space in color industry and color reproduction industry-the Neugebauer Equations.At the beginning of this paper, the law of color separation and printing are introduced briefly and the Neugebauer Equations is educed. Then explains by the influence of many factors the equation has serious precision limitation, so the equations have to be modified before they are used into the process of color reproduction. After that I gather the tristimulus values and the dot area percentage and the density value and some correlative data from the chosen color patch by making experiments, get the proper modified value of Yule-Nielson Equation. Then I find the way to get the solutions of the Neugebauer Equations by using C++ programming language and MATLAB programming language and by using the enough large numbers of data which come from the experiments I establish different mathematical models which are based on different theories to give the Neugebauer Equations exponential method modification halftone enlarging method modification and regression method modification, argue the scientificalness reliability and accuracy of the methods and get the parameters data and curves of the modifiedequations, achieve the modification of the Neugebauer Equations successfully. At last the applications and the developmental directions of the Neugebauer Equations are introduced synoptically.
