A research method is described in this article about the software and hardware development of the NIR non-destructive detector of the oil content in single maize using NIR transmission spectrum technologe with fixed wavelengthes.According to the idea for system function modularity, the hareware system is composed eight part. About the realization, the hareware system belongs to the system which is controlled by two controller, the main controller acted by a MCU and the assistant one acted by a CPLD. And the the hardware system can be updated in-system or in-application.In this part, a multi-task real-time operation system, RTX51 TINY, is introduced. The software system is managed using tasks, and is divided into five tasks. These task module are managed by RTX51 TINY. Also the concept about the system state variable is used and a general multi-level menu is realized based on it.The data process software system is developed using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. It is designed to be a general platform. Arouding the document/view structure, an interface is created among the data processing module, the graph module, the RS232 communiction module, the report module and the ISP(In-system programming) module. The most basic data structure is developed, and some child-class are derived from it and used in other modules.
