| In welding process, welding current and arc voltage are two main electric parameters, and their change has close contact with usability of covered electrode. In the past welding electric parameters always were measured by photoelectric oscilloscope. Though oscillograms of arc voltage and welding current which are gotten can image and directly describe change of electric parameters in welding process, it is difficult that the related arc physics parameters are accurately quantitatively analyzed and evaluated.ANALYSATOR HANNOVER invented by University of Hanover, Germany is nowadays the latest technique of measuring welding electric parameters. In this paper, E4303, E5015, E5016 type structural steel electrodes and E308 type stainless steel electrode are measured by ANALYSATOR HANNOVER. Random change of arc voltage and welding current of covered electrodes is accurately described, oscillograms and probability density distribution diagrams of arc voltage and welding current are drawn, frequency distribution diagrams of short-circuiting timeTl, burning timeT2 and cycle time Tc of droplet and maximum values, minimum values and mean values of arc voltage, welding current, short-circuiting time, and burning time are determined. In this paper, measure results are described, arc physics characteristic and usability of covered electrode are analyzed, and preparations of theories and trail data for establishing evaluation system of usability of covered electrode on the basis of ANALYSATOR HANNOVER are made. |
