Effects on the chemistry and pharmacology, insecticial activity of the essential oil fromthe seeds ,stew and leaves of the Sabina vulgaris Ant., had been studied. An importantdiscovery was that it is a good fumigant ,and it has insecticial activity to several agriculturaland health pests ,subsequently , the important insecticial ingredient-tepineol-4-ol was isolatedfrom the essential oil of its fruits. To more study and development the essential oil of theSabina Vulgaris Ant.,the works that the complexed of essential oil of the Sabina VulgarisAnt.and six essentials ,nature pyrethrum and pyethroid ,and a aerosol preparation which themixed essential oil of the Sabina vulgaris and nature pyrethrum is developed. The main resultsare as follows:1.The mixed of Sabina vulgaris Antoine and six plant essential oils have hour remarkablesynergism formulations against Musca Domestica L. which are C.camphora(L.) presl,I.chinensis Sims, C.nardus(L.) Rendle, Abie renestii Rehd,and the mixtures CTC are142.46,126.17,320.50,117.76 individually.2.Sabina vulgaris Antoine as synergists mixed with nature pyrethrum ,the optimalproportion was 5 1,which toxicities rate of KT50 was 0.5091,and the toxicities rate mortalitywas 1.1111 to Musca domestica L.. The notable synergism proportion was 2 8 when Sabinavulgaris anotine as active ingredient mixed with nature pyrethrum, the toxicities rate of KT50was 0.255,and the toxicities rate mortality was 1.308.3.Sabina vulgaris anotine as synergists mixed with d-phenothrin and d-t-allethrin,theresult showed ,the remarkable synergism proportion(V/V) was 50:1:1,which synergistic rateof KT50 and mortality were 0.6069 and 1.0205 respectively against Musca domestica.4.there two 1% insecticides aerosols were developed that the proportion of Sabinavulgaris anotine to nature pyrethrum was 5 1. the KT50 of the 1# and 2# aerosol was 3.2454min and 4.3074min respectively and the mortality was 74.00% and 66.67% to MuscaDomestica L., the knockdown rate of the 1# aerosol in simulation scene test to MuscaDomestica was 93.98% in an hour and the mortality was 75.94% in 24 hour. When to be usedas spray fluids ,the 1# belong to A level ,and the 2# belong to B level. Therefore ,the differenteffectiveness of the aerosol and spray fluid due to the aerosol valve and cans.5.The decomposition ratio of pyrethrum of two aerosols was 4.54% and 4.17%respectively when the preparation heated up two weeks on the condition of 54±2 .Thedecomposition ratio was under the national standard. The result of the control showed thatthere was no significantly different between heated and unheated. The delivery rate of 1# and2# aerosols were 2.6g/s and 2.3g/s respectively ,which were higher than CK insecticidalaerosol. However, the leakage of two aerosols were 4.87 g/a, which were better than CK.6.The study first adopted the method that the Synergistic Compound Formulation wasscreened by synergistic ratio of KT50 and synergistic ratio of mortality on the condition offixed dose. This method more suitable to screen the synergistic compound formulation on thecondition of fixed dose in the health insecticidal bioassay. Further research should be carriedout to verify and perfect the method.7.A gas chromatography method for the quantitative analysis oferpinen-4-ol has beenestablished.
