Research On Product Family-Oriented Generalized Modular Design Of Press Machine

Individualization of customer demand has been becoming one of the most important characteristics of manufacturing. How to rapidly respond to this change is vital for the enterprises to hold a favorable position in the market. Based on the idea of product family-oriented design, the design of press machine is studied systematically using generalized modular method. By analyzing the characteristics of press machine body, the press family design method is discussed and the modeling technology of flexible modules based on flexible unit structures is proposed. The main contexts are as following: Based on the generalized modular design method and analyse of the characteristic of press machine body, the theory of generalized modular design of press machine family is explored, and the general method of press family design is discussed. The press family design is converted into the design of flexible module family. By assembling the modules according to their interfaces, the flexible product model can be obtained, and by inputting parameters presented by customers, the specified press machine is generated. Guided by the theory of generalized modular design of product family, the planning of the product family is studied, and the assembled-frame press machine family is planned systematically, which is used to guide the design of flexible modules.The modeling method of flexible modules based on the flexible unit structure is proposed. The unit structure is defined, the rules of choosing unit structures and the method of building unit structure library are presented, and the assembly modeling technology of flexible modules based on the flexible unit structure is discussed.The design method of flexible module family, i.e. the deriving technology of flexible module is explored. The method of deriving upper beam of the assembled-frame press machine is discussed in detail. The general rules and knowledge of the column and worktable design are presented and the assembly method of the complete machine is given. The rapid parametric design-analysis system is established on SolidWorks platform. With the help of database, the system integrates CAD/CAE organically, which is the key to realize the rapid design of press machine body.
