Techniques On Constitution Of Fly Frames Module And Software System Programming Based On Generalized Modular Design

Individualization of customer demand has been becoming one of the mostimportant characteristics of manufacturing. How to rapidly respond to this change isvital for the enterprises to hold a favorable position in the market. In this article theidea of the generalized modular design is adopted in design of the fly frames. In basisof these ideas the modules of the fly frames is divided and flexible modules isestablished. Then a set of software system of the fly frames in constituting andmanaging module is written. The main contexts are as following:1. The generalized modular design method and principle of the fly frames basis onflexible modules. At first, this article introduces functions and structures of the flyframes, afterwards, introduce correlative concepts and theories of the generalizedmodular design, and then the product family of fly frames is planned systematically,which is used to guide the design of flexible modules. With the A456E model of thefly frames for example the modules is divided.2. The modularization model of the fly frames on the basis of feature is constituted.First, the modeling on the basis of feature is studied, including definition, class anddenotation of feature, and then the frame of parameterized modeling on the basis offeature is constituted. With the drafting system module of fly frames for example,the detailed process of modeling is studied.3. The studies of interfaces of models. On the basis of discussing the definition, classand function of the interfaces, researches interfaces of fly frames. The interfaces offly frames are classified. With the gantry creel module and drafting system modulefor example, the standardization of interfaces of fly frames is studied.4. This part studies the main content in the coding of models, interfaces and product.Moreover combination of the models also is studied.5. In order to validate the theory and methods of the generalized modular designadvanced in the paper, the software system of the fly frames in constituting andmanaging module is written on Pro/E platform. The frame of this software isestablished and model of function is designed.
