From the discovery of fullerene, one of the important goals of fullerene chemistry was to introduce a metal atom or other atom within the empty cavity of C60. The endohedral fullerene complexes could be great importance because that had the latent apply value. The region chemistry and open-cage fullerene was the foreland of fullerene chemistry, we successfully designed and synthesized two open-cage fullerene derivatives: trisazabridged [60] fulleroid. These open-cage fullerene was of great importance because of the possibility in organic synthesis of endohedral fullerene complexes encapsulating materials such as rare gases, particularly metals and molecular hydrogen. Following was the work of our study.We introduced synthesize method, apply and electrochemistry properties of the fullerene derivatives. Trisazabridged [60] fulleroid was synthesized, and characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, gCOSY, gHSQC and gHMBC spectra.According to our experiments, we discussed the preparation and separate conditions of the trisazabridged [60] fulleroid. There will be well yeild refluxing after low temperature reaction than refluxing directly; the production was separated by the column chromatogram.The stabilization energy of trisazabridged[60]fulleroid was calculate by Gaussian 98. The result of program calculation and NMR shown there was group effect of the nitro group even if the group effect was too weak to change the symmetry of C60 derivatives. The space fine structure of the fullerene derivatives was confirmed.4 Cyclic voltanmmetry showed that both of the trisazabridged [60] fulleroid was short of electron accepting than fullerene.
