This paper discusses how to develop thermodynamic design software of the kettle using Object-Oriented method. As we know, Object-Oriented method is an advanced programming concept. How to put it in use in chemical engineering is still under research. This paper is a try of using Object-Oriented method in kettle thermodynamic design. This paper includes the following content:( 1 ) Analyze the thermodynamic design flow of the kettle carefully, and do the programming using C++.( 2 ) Program the class of the properties calculations for pure material and multicomponent mixture of both the liquid and gas phase Using C++.( 3 ) Compile the interface of the software using Visual C++6.0.
