Windows2000 Server, MS SQL Server 2000 and JAVA & JSP were used as the network operating system, the database system, and the developing tools of its application programs in IWPIMS, respectively. According to the character of The factory's welding department, on the basis of the design principle of advancement, economy, efficiency, reliability and easy operating, a system structure of B/S that can fully utilize the computer and network resources of the The DongFeng Track Factory. In XinJiang is used in IWPIMS .Engineers can operate the establishment, examination and revision, filling in , updating , Deleting resource, information query of the welding procedure qualification via network by means of IWPIMS. At the same time, the workload of engineers can be decreased, and the efficiency of design can also be increased due to the adoption of system in the establishment of welding procedure system..In this paper, the main structures, principle and achieving process of IWPIMS were introduced in detail. IWPIMS has a very important significance not only to the theory research but also to the practical project for the intelligent computer aided procedure design.
