Stellera chamaejasme L.has been taken note of by some reseacher in many contries because of its anti-cancer, antibacteral et al. The chemical constituents in the roots of stellera chamaejasme L. have been studied, the general situation have been reviewed in this thesis. The systematic preliminary tests have been done by the methods of the tube-test. it was found that the roots of stellera chamaejasme L contains flavonoids, lactones, coumarins, steroids, terpenoids, carbohydrates; maybe contains saponin, cardiac glycosid, AA, protein, volatile oil; no thraquinones, alkaloid.Four conpounds were isolated from the 95% ethanol extraction of roots of stellera chamaejasme L by means of solvent extraction, adsorption on D101, column chromatography on silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 purification, their structures of umbelliferone, Stelleranol and dihydrodaphnodorin B were elucidated on basis of their spectral data(UV,EI MS,1H NMR,13C NMR, DEPT).The antifungi activity have been first studied on ethanol extraction, it shows complete inhibition on Bakerirehm and Alternariaalternata; and obvious inhibition on Fusariumgraminearum; and stimulation on Fusariumbulbigenum and Phytoph-thoracapsici, when the concentration of ethanol extraction was 3300 mg/L.
