Increasing along with the yield of the municipal solid waste of our country, the landfill for the main disposal way of the municipal solid waste can't adapt to the requirement of the modern city's development more and more. So accelerating reducing, harmless and recycling progress of the city garbage has become social common ideas. At the moment, there are four main ways to handle the municipal solid waste: Landfill, Incineration, Composing and Pyrolysis. Landfill takes up the large land and pollutes the groundwater, and that will make serious trouble in the future; Although Incineration can realize the reduction of the city garbage, the process produced large poisonous and harmful gas, for example dioxins. So the cost of the purification is too high; Composing developed in low ratio in all countries because of the low composion of the organism in the garbage.In the developed countries, counties with broad region mostly adopted Landfill. Though the counties with narrow region, such as Japan, mostly use Incineration, but the trend in the recent years is Pyrolysis. Its purpose is the reducing and harmless progress. With viewing the history, the present condition and the lesson of the developed countries, the basic way to handle the garbage is finding out the stable and lasting way and the process cost is low. The technique of RDF during non-thermal pyrolysis is very promising. But the technique in our country starts so late and has no systematic foundation data. This thesis researched on reduces and harmless of the city garbage. This will lay the groundwork for the refuse derived fuel, namely RDF .This thesis introduced the principle of the municipal solid waste and experimental device during non-thermal pyrolysis, studied the produce rate of coke, the produce of oil and gas and the scattering regulation of cl element.
