The curve of metals cutting resistance established by testing the force in the process of shearing is an important parameter of rotary flying shears design. But the force is difficult to tested. Because the machine is huge, and the distributing of the testing points is disperse even on the motion parts. Large mechanism remote test system based on radio transmission is a new scheme, which was brought forward to solve the problems of shearing force testing in the rotary flying shearing process. Considering the same characteristic of the large mechanism remote testing, this system can be used in other large mechanism testing process and find far-ranging application. This system expect to solve the problems caused by the disperse and the motion of testing points in the large mechanism testing process by employing the radio communication technique. It presents a new method for the large mechanism remote testing.In this paper, construction and operational principle of the large mechanism remote test system based on radio transmission have been presented. And the process of designing software, hardware and radio network of system has been described. A new scheme is put forward. In the scheme, four modules have been used as main body to construct the large mechanism remote test system, namely intelligent sensor terminal, display and setting terminal, radio network and center controller. A simplified radio network model has been established to fit the requirement of the remote test system. Circuit and program designs of many function modules including signal sampling, analogy to digital conversion, data transmission, LCD driving and network controlling have been introduced in detail. A method to promote the reliability of data transmission by adding center nodes and deforming the topology of network has been discussed.At last, the author looks forward to the future research of the system and puts forward the aim of internetlized remote test system.
