Pyrolysis carbon black used in rubber industry has aroused intensive interesting, since it has superiority in produce cost, energy consumption and environment protection coMPared with traditional reinforcing filler, such as reinforcing agent and fumed silica. It has not seen the report that Pyrolysis carbon black reinforcing filler was prepare from natural materials. The key of filler application is the research on the interaction between Pyrolysis carbon black and natural rubber matrix. But the research on the field is few at home, and systematic study is fewer. From the angle of physical chemistry, the investigations on the superfine grinding, surface chemical modifying of Pyrolysis carbon black powder and the interaction between Pyrolysis carbon black and natural rubber was carried out. Excellent results were achieved.1. The systematic rule among the compositions, structure, property, preparing condition and reinforcing performance of powder was obtained, Relative theoretical rule was expounded, found, explained and illustrated.(1). After researching (IR, SEM, LS) on compositions, structure, powder's property and surface property of Pyrolysis carbon black, it was found and explained that Pyrolysis carbon black had better reinforcing effect.(2). Surface chemical modifying improves surface property of Pyrolysis carbon black powder effectively. The effect of surface modifying depends on (a) the structure and surface group of powder, (b) the group of coupling agent (c) the concentration of coupling agent (d) surface modifying methods.(3). Taking coupling agent stearic acid, absorbed oil value and IR. That is, the interaction between the hydroxide groups on the surface of coupling agent and powder decreases. The modified powder distract in natural rubber and react with Pyrolysis carbon black more easily, which results in better reinforcing effect for Pyrolysis carbon black.(4). The research on bound rubber and reinforcing effect of powder filler showed that there two kind of interactions between filler and rubber matrix in uncured mix. The unbounded rubber on the surface of filler will solve in organic solvent. The rubber bounded by stronger physical or chemical interaction with filler will dissolve in organic solvent. The bound rubber on the surface of filler by different extent acid-base interactions will solve in basic organic solvent. The bound rubber on the surface of filler by chemical action (no acid-base type) will dissolve in basic organic solvent.(5). Using pyrolysis carbon black after further processing as start material, The application of carcass rubber hoses, hectograph and waterproof rolled sheet. The result showed that Pyrolysis carbon black might replace common carbon black in the rubber; its strength is not debased. Furthermore the cost is fall.2. A systematic research method containing preparation of modified superfine powder, characteristics of powder's property and surface property, preparation and characteristics of Pyrolysis carbon black filler / natural rubber composite, the characteristics of the interaction between powder filler and natural rubber was established.3. Using Pyrolysis carbon black as start materials, modified superfine powders have successfully prepared through researching on the condition of superfine grinding and surface chemical modifying. The reinforcing effect of modified superfine powder exceeds SRF. Modified superfine powder can replace partly common carbon black and used as natural rubber reinforcing filler. The result has not seen others so far, which enhances the Pyrolysis carbon black powder level and expands the Pyrolysis carbon black applied fields.
