PART I Six new maleopimaric acid derivatives were synthesized and characterized by elementary analysis, IR, NMR. Improving the references' method by reacting melting maleopimaric acid with substituted phenyl-urea, reaction could be finished very quickly(about half an hour ) in soft condition with high yied (over 90%), and the work-up was very simple. So they can be producted in large-scale. The biological tests indicate that they all show a middling activities,especially, compound 2c can assist coleseed to vegetate. PART II Four new chiral fluorescence derivatization reagents N-hydroxysuccinimi-dyldehydroabietate (N-HSDA) and N-hydroxysuc- cinimidyl–12–bromodehy droabietate(N-HSBDA) and dehydroabietic acid acylhydrazide (DAA) and Abietic acid chloride (ACC)were synthesized. In methanol, N-HSDA and N-HSBDA present ultraviolet at (m=220nm and fluorescence at (ex/(em= 267.0 nm/ 289.0 nm (N-HSDA), ultraviolet at (m=220nm and (ex/(em= 248.0 nm/307.0 nm(N-HSBDA). Two of these reagents (N-HSDA and N-HSBDA)can readily reaction with DL- amino acid at Na2B4O7(H2O)(PH=10) solution in room temperature to give the corresponding fluorescent compounds respectively, and the derivatives can be separated with HPLC on C-18 reverse-phase column. DAA can react with aldehyde or ketone and CAA can react with amino compounds and alcohol compounds easily. The application of them in chiral separation is remained to be further studied.
