With the development of computer and network techniques, modem CAD techniques is tend to networking, integrating and intelligentizing design. Under this developing background, new requirements are brought forward to computer aided fixture design, and people attach more and more impoitance to realizing networking design of fixture naturally. At the same time, designers still query the datum through traditional paper tools in the process of application of CAD technique for machine tool fixture design, it affects the efficiency and quality of fixture design. Therefor, the research on the resource sharing technique and development of networking collaborative design system for machine tool fixture takes on significant action for improving the efficiency and quality of fixture design.This paper is based on the serious analysis and summary of handbook datum on machine tool fixture design technology. The system of the resource sharing technique and networking collaborative design is researched by applications of modem CAD, database and computer network techniques. And took part in the development of the digitized handbook software system for machine tool fixture design. The main achievements and creative ideas of the paper are as follows:(1) Discussed the development and characteristics of manufacturing informatization, and main contents of CAD/CAM techniques. According to the analysis of international, domestic present study status and development trend of computer aided fixture design, worked out a new idea of setting up system of machine tool fixture design resource sharing and network collaborative design by digitizing traditional paper reference handbook on fixture and networking resources of fixture design, provide a new method and software system of fixture design-aided based on computer application technology.(2) Disserted the argumentation of this project and signification of research on basic development of informational resources facing informatized manufacturing. Analyzed the main content, data flow and main realize form of computer aided fixture desiga Discussed the framework of the system for machine tool fixture design resource sharing and network collaborative design in detail. Aiming at feature of the latest software development technology, disserted the basic conception for the object-oriented technology, software reuse, database technology, network technology and so on, and theirs application effect in the development of the system is verified.(3) According to the analysis on market demand of fixture design handbook, set up the framework and function model of software system of digitized machine tool fixture design handbook. Illuminated the construction process and information flow of the system. Explained the exploitation methods and realization paths through real program examples.(4) On the basis of exploitation of digitized fixture design handbook, analyzed the framework and data flow of the fixture network collaborative design system, and set up system model based on ASP. Combining the practice of exploitation of application program, illuminated the construction process of fixture network collaborative design system and application of main realization techniques.(5) Based on the study of theory and practice mentioned above, developed the system for machine tool fixture network collaborative design and digitized handbook, and described the key functions and specialties of the system by examples.With the continuously recruiting of content and consummating of function of the system, we believe it will offer a complete design resource information service and network collaborative design environment for machine tool fixture design and manufacture, and help manufacturing enterprises to bring up their produce efficiency and the quality of their products.
