As an economical general fieldbus, CAN bus, characterized by particular design and high reliability, becomes one of the most promising fieldbus. Nowadays it has been the development trend of fire alerting technology that composing distributed intelligent fire alerting system by applying CAN bus.The thesis analyses the principle of CAN bus, CAN2.0 version specification and distributed intelligent system, and then advances a new bus communication protocol of fire alerting control system, which distinguishes the PRI of data transferred in different layers including physical layer, data link layer and application layer so as to meet the need of real-time and logicality of network. On implementation, the thesis first brings forward the general whole design of distributed intelligent fire alerting system and concrete design of area one, and then mainly expounds hardware and software solutions for general distributed intelligent fire alerting control system. The fire alerting control system implements man-machine communication interface, computer program interface, system logical control, CRT graphics communication and so on. At the same time, it's also achieved that the embedded Internet design using serial gateway. It's concluded that the system has reached GB from the final test.The CAN bus communication protocol and control system design in this thesis are not only applied to distributed intelligent fire alerting control system, but also other distributed intelligent control systems. Especially the use of serial gateway shows low-cost general design of large control systems joining to Internet directly based on SCM.
