A Study On The Technology And Yarn Properties Of Low-ratio Wool-PET Sirofil Spinning

Low-ratio wool-PET sirofil is a new way to exploit low-ratio wool-PET composite yarn.With novel yarn construction and cost priority, sirofil spinning plays very important role in woolen factories. In spinning process, the top is drafted properly while filament is fed through the godet into the front roller. There is certain distance between filament and top after nip of front roller, and then, they are twisted and formed sirofil yarn.Although some factors have been tested, which influence yarn structure and properties of sirofil yarns such as pre-tension filament, but it has not been systematically and theoretically tested and analysed.Nowadays, exploiting low-ratio blend wool-PET yarn becomes one of surviving ways for some factories. But too much hair of sirofil yarn is the serious problem and it's difficult to develop low-ratio wool-PET sirofil yarn. Especially, in the weaving process, yarn is easily pilled in the friction, furthermore forming into neps, which bestrow on the surfaceof fabric and to deduce loom productivity. Until now, it has not been studied systematically and solved completely for low-ratio wool-PET sirofil spinning.So the study on low-ratio wool-PET sirofil yarn not only deduce cost, increase more variety of colors and designs, succeed in lightening fabrics, but also resolve some problems such as fair and pilling.This paper deals with the technology and yarn properties for different ratio of wool-PET, studies the mechanism to pill of sirofil yarn, and analyses the effect of pre-tension of filament on sirofil system.Firstly, in order to study the effect of pre-tension of filament on sirofil system, different convergent angles were took by digital camera with changing pre-tension of filament.Secondly, the top of different wool-PET ratio were chosen. The pilling of different wool-PET ratio sirofil yarns were measured and analysed.Thirdly, for changing pre-tension of filament, the properties, including hair, unevenness and pilling, of sirofil yarn were measured and the results show that the pre-tension, indeed, influence the properties of sirofil.
