Study On Land Use/Land Cover Change And Environment Security In Wuhan Region

Land resource is one of the irreplaceable resources which the human being relies on. Land use comes out with the human being. along with the development of population and economic, the range and degree of land use is becoming more and more largo, especially in recent one hundred years. About 40% land cover was destoried or became urban land, which has an substantial effect on construction and function of whole ecological system. land use and land cover change arose environmental problems, the effects and evaluation of environment has become hos-pot in the study of global change with joint promotion of IGBP and HDP. Under the background, researchs on theory and example of environment security of land use/land cover change has very important scientific value and realistic meaning.The paper explains the theory relation and progress between land use/land cover and environmental security. On the basis of analyzing the influences of land use/land cover change and environment, we evaluate environmental security of land use /land cover change, and explore ways and means of environment optimization of land use/land cover change in Wuhan.The paper is divided into four parts:The first part is general remark of research of land use/land cover, which including concept, content, recent progress and meaning of research, and presents some possible orientations in the future.The second part analyzes the relationship and mutual mechanism between land use/land cover change and environment security. and then explains the environmental impacts which invoked by land use/land cover change.The third part is the analysis on land use/land cover change in Wuhan. Itanalyzes the character and internal rule of number and construction of land use/land cover change from 1988 to 2002 in Wuhan, and systematicly analyzes the formation and change mechanism of land use/land cover in Wuhan.The last part analyzes the environment of Wuhan, and discusses the relationship between land use/land cover change and environment security. then carries on deeply analysis on ecological value. Acording to the ecological problems invoked by land use/land cover change, it puts forword the optimal countermeasures of environment in Wuhan.
