| Shape is an important quality index, which is much important of super-sheet metal and foil material for nonferrous metal including copper and aluminium. So shape measuring and control technology indicate a key to possessed precise roll whole set in developed country. Due to particularity to quality and thickness of super-sheet metal and foil material, contact shape measuring install before lead to large roll inertia and tension, consequently it scratch surface easily. non-contact shape measuring install can't measure latent shape and affect its use range. Therefore basing on pneumatic shape measuring roll by sun xuguang finished, a program further study some interrelated problem to foil shape measuring of pneumatic shapemeter, this have magnitude practical significance to develop precise roll equipment. The thesis mostly include four sections as follow: (1)It designs a seven-piece sample of pneumatic shape measuring roll experimenting upon 300 four-roll machine. We gained capability parameter for pneumatic shapemeter's kernel segment –air film and throttle borediameter and gave a good reason by air film maths model of pneumatic shapemeter roll making use of methed of finite difference to numerical calculating it, in this way it lay a indispensable theoretical basis in order to designing shapemeter.
