Computer aided manufacturing (CAM) system can process the complicated model directly for the customer. The appearance of the high speed machining (HSM) technology puts forward the higher request to CAM, In high speed cutting, feed rate and spindle speed are both very high. This requires lesser space and cutting depth used in the CAM system, in addition, never change the cutting direction abruptly in cutting path. The aim of these strategies in HSM is for keeping cutting forces constant in cutting process. It is an advantage of high speed processing that cutting hardened steel directly by coated tool. This reduces the product processing step directly, shortens the product processing time.Cutting force and vibration influenced by cutting path in the period of high speed milling HRC51 with micro-milling tool has been studied in this paper. Three conditions of the cutter are taken into account respectively: on the plane, the inclined plane and curved surface,(l)In the experiment of cutting plane, the cirque and corner methods have been analyzed. In the cirque experiment, the force and vibration influenced by different radius and feed rate has been studied; in the corner experiment, the force and vibration influenced by different corner angle and feed rate has been studied. In order to optimize the best technology of cutting cirque and corner, the force and vibration has been analyzed.(2)In the experiment of cutting inclined plane with the ball-end cutter, the force will change along with the obliquity of the inclined plane; however, the force will change along with the path when cutting the same inclined plane. In this chapter, the 45°,30°,15°inclined plane has been cut by the ball-end cutter, and the force influenced by different cutting methods has been studied.(3)In the experiment of milling curved surface, cutting force...
