The internal mixer is one of the most popular batch mixing equipments. With vigorous development of rubber and plastic industry as well as other polymer material industry, greater performance of internal mixer is called for the demand. The development of synchronous rotor internal mixer can deal with the problem. The mixer is widely accepted as one of the most advanced shearing mixer. As rotors are the soul of the internal mixer, in fact, various researches on mixer are mainly emphasis on rotors. Therefore, the study on new types of synchronous internal mixer and those of rotors will be of theoretical and practical value.First, theories of internal mixer rotors designing have been analyzed. Based on the influences of geometrical configuration on mixing effects, a newly designing method of synchronous rotors has been developed. With the introduction of various clearances mixing technology (VCMT), the new six-wing rotors are a great innovation in the aspect of six-wing synchronous rotors mixer in China.Next, after usual modeling methods of rotors are generally analyzed, swept molding, a new method is brought forward firstly by the author with the introduction of 3-D CAD. Using spreadsheet tools, rotors library and all the characters of the rotors are analyzed. The 3-D FEM meshing models for static analyses have been built.
