There are many mixing equipments being used in polymer processing. The internal mixer is one of the most popular batch mixing equipments. The rotors which are the heart part of mixer are always been studied on by people. In order to improve the quality of compound, mixing efficiency, and making clearly about mixing mechanism and vary status of flow field and temperature field in chamber .People start to simulate it with FEM and related soft. This text did some simulations of fluid field and temperature field with ADINA for the first time.The physical models and 3-D FEM models for these rotors flow field had been built for the first time. And the text also had built 2-D FEM models for FSI simulation. The article had made isothermal flow field simulation with different rotors type, the pressure field, velocity field and viscosity field had been obtained from numerical simulation. At the same time, rotors' stress and strain had been acquired by post-processing.Otherwise this text made simulation for 3-D rotor's temperature field and 2-D mixer temperature field. Mixing rubber's temperature transient value also had been gained from temperature field simulation. Temperature variable value of different part's temperature of mixer got too. The text provided a better way to find out every part's heat transfer capability.The simulation results indicate as follows:...
