With the enhancement of people's living standard, increment of environmentalprotection consciousness, rising of "Green" consumption, more and more peope pay moreattention to the comfort, safety and health care textiles. At present, cotton fabrics are usedmost widely in the field of costume. It is also one of the most ordinary used fabrics insummer. People are more interested in it because of soft hand feeling, the better moistureand air permeability as well as no electrostatic and comfort clothing performance. Butcotton fabrics have the higher rate of being transmitted by ultraviolet from 280-400nm andweaker performance of ultraviolet radiation protecting compared with the other ones. Suchas natural fibre: wool, silk, hemp. As you know, It is bad for your body to receive muchultraviolet ray. In summer, people wear thinner fabrics, which can be easily transmitted byultraviolet. Much ultraviolet radiation can do damage to skin, even lead to skin cancer. Inrecent years, the ozone layer is damaged and it becomes thiner and thiner. There are twohuge holes on both poles. The ozone layer over our country is also obviously becomingthinner and thinner. As a result, cotton fabrics need the anti-ultraviolet functional finishing. Nanometer science and technology is a high and new technology in recent years. Atthe end of 20th century, nano-technology aroused great attention around the world and hasbecome one of the main subjects of development in the field of science. Those materials,from three dimensions at least one dimension being within nanometer size range (1-100nm) are nanometer materials. Many peculiar properties such as bulk effect, surfaceeffect, quantum-size effect are related to its nanometer size, which have drawn increasinginterest recently. Nanometer TiO2 and SiO2 are two of the most important nanometermaterials studied owing to its wide application properties and prospect, such asultraviolet-light shield, fine ceram, semiconductor materials, photocatalytic materials,effect pigment, etc. They are always the interest research topic and more attention are paidto looking for its preparation techniques and application. This paper lays stress on theanti-ultraviolet function of nano-powders in textile reserch. It belongs to a new studydomestically. Few studies are reported about TiO2&SiO2 nanometers being used in cottonfabrics. In this paper, I have prepared nanometer TiO2 and SiO2 by myself,then, dealt withcotton fabrics with them, after that, tested and analyzed many kinds of clothingperformance. It is vacant in the history that the research of cotton fabrics via theanti-ultraviolet finishing by using nanometer TiO2&SiO2. My thesis consists of two sections as a whole. Prartâ…  Preparation of TiO2 and SiO2nanoparticles and the test of their transmission percentage of ultraviolet ray. First, I haveprepared nano-TiO2 and nano-SiO2 via Micoemulsion Approach. Fine decentralizenanoparticles were got through improving the method. Secondly, in the course ofpreparation of nanoparticle, I have invented a method of "eyeballing synthesis"andsearching for parameter concerned. So, I have found optimal prescriptions.
