Underwear,as the second skin of human's body,is a barrier to protect the safety of human.With the growing demands for healthy and functional personal clothing,the use of natural substances on functional finishing of personal underwear fabrics meets the needs of consumers.Combined with the practical experience in the Karado Textile &Garment Co.,Ltd.,this thesis applies aloe extract that has the function of moisturizing,whitening,sun-screening,sterilizing,anti-inflammatory,anti-ultraviolet on the finishing of cotton knitted underwear fabrics,exploring the finishing process and the properties of the fabrics after finishing.This thesis is completed by the following three parts:(1)Get the cotton knitted underwear fabric designed in the factory.Then use three-factor three-level orthogonal test to finishing it by aloe extract,during which aloe extract concentration,treatment temperature,treatment time are studied.The finishing effect is analyzed qualitatively by infrared spectroscopy and quantitatively by the weight gain rate of the fabric under different finishing processes.(2)Evaluate the hydrophilicity,air permeability and fabric style of the fabric under different finishing conditions,which include the properties such as contact angle,capillary effect,permeability,compression performance,surface friction performance,contact cold feeling and stiffness.Use single index analysis and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation methods to obtain the optimal finishing process.(3)Based on the optimum finishing process,the finishing fastness of aloe extract on cotton knitted underwear fabrics is further improved by the method of compound finishing of aloe extract and soda ash or poly-carboxylic acid.Test the properties of fabric before and after the compound finishing and evaluate the washing fastness of the fabric.Through the study,it is found that:(1)The fabric treated by aloe extract has absorption peaks near the wavelength of 1640cm-1 and 2100 ~ 2200cm-1,which is caused by the vibration of C = O bond and C = C bond.After the aloe extract finishing,the aloe anthraquinone and aloepolysaccharide are effectively finished on the cotton knitted underwear fabrics.The weight gain rate of fabrics under different finishing process is increasing,and the value is between 2% and 6%.When the concentration of aloe extract reaches 5%,continuing to increase the concentration,there is no significant growth in the weight gain rate;(2)After the finishing of aloe extract,fabric's hydrophilicilty is generally improved.The minimum contact angle can reach 17.9 °,which is less than half of the unfinished sample;The maximum wicking height is up to 11~12cm at 30 min,3times of the unfinished sample.As for fabric style,the fluffy fullness of the finished fabric is slightly decreased,the surface becomes smoother,slippery waxy degree tends to be reduced,cold feeling becomes stronger,and when the aloe extract concentration is low,the softness of the fabric will not deteriorate.Based on the single index analysis and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation,the optimum process is 3% aloe extract concentration,60 ? treatment temperature and 40 min treatment time;(3)Use the aloe extract combined with soda ash or polycarboxylic acid to finishing fabric can improve the washing fastness of the fabric.After the compound finishing,the attachment rate of aloe extract increases,the hydrophilicity becomes better,the fluffiness becomes better,the surface roughness is slightly increased,slippery waxy degree becomes larger,cold feeling becomes stronger,softness is reduced.Through the washing fastness test,it is found that the treatment of 3 g / L Na2CO3 with 3% aloe extract at the p H of 10 is the best finishing process.After washing 9 times,the remaining ratio of the aloe extract is 68.9%.
