Study On The Velocity For Heterogeneous Flow In The Horizontal Pipe

In long distance slurry pipeline transport project.Confirm the flowregime of the flow is very important in the pipeline, and the criticalvelocity for confirming the flow regime is very important parameter.Onthe basis of research results of the existing experts and scholars,relations among the velocity of water ,that of solid particles,that ofsettling slurry and that of the thinckness of saltation particles layerhave been established by the analysis of momentum transmission processbetween water and solid formulae for the horizontal pipeline and then thecalculation formulae for the velocity for homogeneous flow are deprived.through examining, in some extend ,theory result of calculation accordwith surveying data, so the formulae can serve as helpful reference foroperating and designing.
