Large scale mining of underground coal resources causes or brings out hazards of geological environment including sinking, fault and fracture of the ground, which are called coal-mining-induced subsidence. It has become one of main factors that restrict development of economy and social advancement of coal mining areas. Form the point of view of geology, the development law of coal-mining-induced subsidence by analyzing the connections between coal-mining-induced subsidence and geological & mining factors is disclosed by this thesis. And the academic system on coal-mining-induced subsidence and basis of theory on dynamic evolvement and prediction are perfected, too. By using Visual Basic, a system soft on coal-mining-induced subsidence dynamic evolvement and prediction, which can predict precisely coal-mining-induced subsidence before mining, is worked out. The soft can simulate the development process of surface movement and distortion with the working face advanced. When full mining or not full mining the approximate level coal seam or middle lean one , the soft can predict the 5 factors of surface movement and distortion such as surface subsidence, slant, curvature, level movement and level distortion, at the same time the prediction graphs of factors of surface movement and distortion in main section plane can be drafted. An arbitrary spot in the basin of coal-mining-induced subsidence can be calculated automatically. And some pieces of isoline of surface movement and distortion in coal-mining-induced subsidence are come out, also. The whole process of subsidence can be dynamic simulated. When the working face is advanced every 10m in some geological & mining condition, factors of surface movement and distortion are shown in form of graphs or charts. Some graphs of surface movement and distortion can be shown also when working face is advanced with different mining speed in certain time. By checking with typical examples in teaching material, the precision of account of the soft is credible. By contrasting to the observation results of surface movement and distortion of 291 working face in Wangshiwa coal mining area in Tongchuan, the precision of prediction of the soft is satisfy with the locale demands. The result, that becomes a foundation and means of ascertaining reasonably mining intensity and predicting accurately the coal-mining-induced subsidence, can provide scientific foundation and technical for synchronous developing of economy and environment in coal mining areas. And it will be prospected in controlling coal-mining-induced subsidence in other big coal mining areas.
