Magnetic Field oriented drive is an advanced control technology used in AC motor controlling. The core of control is thought an asynchronous motor as a DC motor by coordinate rotate transformation. Magnetic Field oriented control technology has been applied in rolling mills and hoists successfully. However, as a new drive technology, there are many problems and issues to be investigated and be solved in oil rig as a potential alternative to the conventional SCR, for example, energy consumption brake technology and auto drilling technology. This thesis chooses an asynchronous motor as the subject to be investigated. A detailed theoretical analysis to the theory, sorts, advantages and disadvantages of magnetic field vector drive technology is carried out. Based on these, this thesis gives out the speed-sensorless vector control scheme and the design of speed-loop and torque-loop of the ZJ50LDB rig Rotary Table control system by linking with rig technology. It states the application and the theory of the energy consumption brake in the Rotary Table control system, analyses the course of motor start and brake. The thesis gives out the test result and the analysis of the result, also analyses the working condition of Rotary Table control system. The experiment results verified the system is valid and correct, can satisfy the demands of rig technology.
